What Is zMAX?

zMAX Micro-lubricant® is the ONE product your engine needs. It doesn't just alter your oil - it soaks into the metal itself, dispersing carbon build-up and providing continuous protection from the inside out. No Teflon, no PTFE, no zinc, no moly. Just a formula that's been proven in race engines, aircraft, firearms, and everyday vehicles since 1936.

How It Works

Carbon is the enemy. Combustion causes carbon and other harmful deposits to build up in your engine, fuel system and transmission. When those deposits settle into internal parts, friction and wear cause real damage: blow-by, loss of compression, decreased fuel mileage, excessive oil usage, and high emissions.

Unlike additives that only alter the fluid they're poured into, zMAX uses your oil, fuel and transmission fluid as a carrier to reach internal parts - where it soaks into the metal and weeps out over time, providing continuous protection. The result:

  • Improved performance and horsepower
  • Reduced wear on vital engine parts
  • Extended engine life
  • Reduced emissions
  • Improved or maintained fuel mileage

Use every 6 months or 6,000 miles in your engine oil and fuel. Use in your transmission after each flush. Works in gasoline and diesel engines, automatic and manual transmissions - and the same formula works in firearms, small engines, and aircraft.

History

In the early 1930s, Indy race engineer Joe Lencki discovered that internal engine parts - especially cams - were scuffing during start-up due to insufficient lubrication. In 1936 he developed "Speedway Cocktail," a micro-lubricant that literally soaked into metal. Racing legends George Bignotti, Tony Bettenhausen, and Johnny Parsons, Sr. used it for maximum engine protection.

During World War II, Lencki supervised construction of aircraft engines for B-29 bombers in Chicago, where - with input from Manhattan Project director Enrico Fermi - he perfected the formula. By 1947 it was in the professional mechanics' market. The Linkite formulation used in zMAX became the first pure-lubricant approved by the FAA for use in piston engine aircraft, known today as AVBLEND. Carroll Shelby, who built the Cobra, 20,000+ Shelby Mustangs, and the Viper, used zMAX in every car he built.

Testing & Proof

Over 50 years of testing - consumer, lab, and independent - backs every claim. Tests follow SAE and ASTM protocols, modified only to include the required soak-in period. Results show zMAX soaks into metal, reduces friction, increases horsepower, dissipates engine heat, and reduces engine deposits.

What Customers Say

"I've built over 100 different kinds of cars - Shelby Cobra, Shelby Mustang, the Viper. We're putting zMAX in each and every one that leaves the factory. I've got my reputation to protect and I wouldn't recommend zMAX unless I knew it worked."
Carroll Shelby, Automotive Hall of Fame
"My van now has 304,000 miles. I've used zMAX Engine Treatment faithfully with every oil change since 1996. Great investment."
S. Brown, CA
"There was no wear whatsoever on the engine cylinders - none. At 325,000 miles I could still see the factory cross-hatch from the cylinder hone. Simply amazing."
J. Aiken
"Instantly the lifter tick went away and the engine idles extremely steady and smooth, with zero noise. I will forever use this product in all my vehicles at every oil change."
M. Bohn, NJ - 2007 Jeep Wrangler, 107k miles

For Locomotives & Heavy Equipment

zMAX scales to any engine size. Proven benefits for locomotive diesel engines include improved cylinder combustion efficiency, reduced oil and fuel consumption, increased horsepower, cleaner airbox and piston rings, reduced emissions, and decreased operating costs. OmniTRAX documented outstanding results using zMAX across their locomotive fleet.
